I'm compiling a tick list for teachers to help protect their students in social networking sites. Can you add any dos or don'ts for this tick list.

Ask yourself this: Would I do the same thing off-line as I am about to do online? Think about your answer and weigh up the risks. If you take the risk you need to be prepared for the worst case scenario. If you cannot accept that don't take it.

Don't get into any argumets on social networks and don't hesitate to delete any of your posts which is causing an argument.

Do not post any photo your grandmother would not like to see on-line

If you post images / videos of yourself, be aware of what other people might think of them (Your mother , your employer) or what you might think of them 5 - 10 -20 years from now (once something is public on the internet it could be there forever
